Introducing Clete

Today marks an important milestone for us—the beta launch of Clete, a proactive observability platform that we believe will redefine how businesses monitor their systems.

Clete was born out of reflection and frustration. While on a trip to Madrid, I found myself deep in the task of revamping the monitoring stack in my previous role.  I successfully restructured existing and implemented new dashboards, alerts, and telemetry but the process left me questioning: why is monitoring still so manual and tedious in 2024? Monitoring felt mundane, reactive, and overly dependent on engineers constantly setting triggers and thresholds only to discover issues after they’ve impacted users.

I reached out to my friend and now co-founder, Timi, to explore the possibilities of building an AI-driven observability platform. Timi’s response was simple yet powerful: “Yes, let’s do this!” That enthusiasm ignited the journey, I quit my job and Clete was born.

We’re Tobi and Timi, two friends with over six years of shared history. Timi has a background in Machine Learning and Data Science, with experience spanning academia and industry. I’ve spent over six years as a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer, focusing on building resilient and scalable systems. Together, we share a passion for solving tough problems and creating impactful solutions.
